Why?

I have been taking photos of old barns and buildings for a few years now just because, for some odd reason, I like the way they look and the way they make me feel when I see them.

I always wonder about the stories behind them.  How long have they been here, who built these old homesteads, what did it look like when it was first built, who may have passed through these doors?

I just find them very intriguing and they seem to all have their own character!! It is amazing to me how some old decaying structure can have such beauty to me. I always wonder what secrets these old structures might hold?!?

I apologize for the fact that so many of them I can not tell you where it was or when it was. I have been taking these photos for about 10 years and only setup the website in 2011.

Purchase

The thought never really entered my mind to try to sell any of my photos, I have always taken them for my own personal enjoyment. I never really thought of myself as a photographer. I have no formal training I just love taking pictures of old stuff (hence the name BarnStuff.com).

However, over the past couple of years I have had many friends and family members ask me if there was any way for them to purchase prints of any of my photos.

That being said, I have decided that I would do some work on the site that would allow the public to view and/or purchase prints if they see anything they would like to have.
